SOUND LEVEL METER MODEL PCE-322A[12 Feb. 2012, 21:42:39]
SOUND LEVEL METER MODEL PCE-322A
Made in PCE - United Kingdom.
PCE-322 A noise meter is suitable to take measurements in the industrial sector, for health and safety and to control internal environments such as those with noise contamination.
Its internal memory of 32, 000 values makes it possible to use this noise meter to save data over long periods of time.
The readings can be transfered to a PC via an RS-232 cable.
The Windows compatible software ( in English) allows for the data to be visualized in tables and graphs.
The zoom function allows for a more detailed analysis of the sound values.
This software is not compatible with Windows NT, if this is the case, you should use Windows hyperterminal to transfer the data to Excel to be processed.
Features :
RS-232 cable to transmit data
Software compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000 and XP
Internal memory for 32, 000 values
Minimum and maximum functions
Resolution of 0.1dB
35mm LCD display with graphic divisions of 2dB ( unto 100dB)
Frequency weighting: A and C
Frequency range of 31.5 Hz to 8 kHz
Temporary value for pulses, fast and slow
Real-time clock with calendar
ABS enclosure
1/ 2" Electret condenser microphone
The noise meter can be used to measure directly or to save readings over a long period of time.
The data can be transfered to a PC via an RS-232 connector or by analogue output and analysed in various formats.
The software that is included allows you to trasfer the readings to other programs so it can be analysed and processed. You can create diagrams, columns and view the peak values.
The zoom function allows for a closer analysis of each reading.
The software is also useful to programme settings for measurements over long periods of time.

Contents :
PCE-322 A noise meter, microphone windscreen,
Small Tripod
RS-232 interface, software compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000 and XP, calibration screwdriver, a battery, carrying case and user' s manual
Optional accessories
- Acoustic calibrator
Acoustic calibrator for regular recalibration.
The noise meter comes calibrated but the sensor suffers oscillation over time and with the acoustic calibrator can be recalibrated independantly to allow for optimum measurements.
- Microphone extension cable
5 meter long cable. If the noise meter is used with this component, it will be able to measure directly the source of sound in machines or to check products. It will also allow for readings to be taken in areas that are difficult to access.
- Tripod
Light-weight aluminium tripod. It' s useful for making a series of measurements and guarantees that readings can be reproduced more accurately by keeping the microphone fixed in place.
Furthermore, the user can be free to manually record readings or to perform other tasks.
- ISO calibration certificate
For companies that wish to include te device in thier group of internal tools or for annual recalibrations ( in cases when the calibrator is not used) .
The ISO calibration includes a laboratory calibration includes a document with all the measurement values.
